Modern extension to the rear of the existing character home. The clients both work from home so needed a space dedicated for it. The bathroom and laundry are relocated into this space.
One of the clients primary wishes was for the extension to be a light, bright and functional space. Brightness, relaxation and inspiration define the design of the extension - enhanced by the bath nook orientated towards the surrounded vegetation.
Located in the heritage area of Hilton, the extension is located at the rear of the existing house in order to comply with the local regulations. The challenges were to ensure compliance is met but also - and mainly - to design a spacious and bright study/yoga room and keep as much vegetation as possible as part of the inspiring and relaxing atmosphere the client wanted.
